Scottie returns from Turkey!

Scottie returned from his travels on Monday 7th February. He spent December and January at Mareşal Fevzi Çakmak İlköğretim Okulu in Turkey. His diary has lots of information about what he has been learning whilst in Turkey and he also brought back a presentation about the school he visited and you can see this below:

Scottie Visits Turkey!

Scottie is on his travels again and has arrived safely at Mareşal Fevzi Çakmak İlköğretim Okulu in Turkey. He has taken a book full of information all about Scotland and our school to share with the children in Turkey. We look forward to him returning to Hallglen Primary School in the new year to tell us all about his latest adventure.

Scottie visits Germany!

Scottie visited Kleinfeldschule in Germany in June/July 2010. He took with him a book full of information all about Scotland and our school. The pupils in Germany shared lots of information about their country and culture with Scottie and he has been telling us all about his adventures since he has returned to Hallglen Primary School.

Paulchen, from Germany, visits Hallglen Primary School

Paulchen the school mascot for Kleinfeldschule in Germany came to visit Hallglen Primary School in June 2010. He visited all of our classes and event went on a trip to a chocolate factory with Primary 4/5 and Primary 5. He came to our school disco too and had lots of fun on our bouncy castle at the Go For Green Rewards. Paulchen brought a book full of information about Germany with him and we enjoyed learning about another country and culture.

Our School Mascot has a name!

At Assembly on Friday 19th March we gave our new School Mascot a name. Every class in the school was given the opportunity to choose a name and these were put in a hat. Primary 2 had chosen the name "Scottie" and Mr. Allan pulled this out of the hat so our Mascot is now known as "Scottie"!
